Procedures for foreigners to apply for medical insurance cards in Shanghai

1. First of all, foreigners need to bring one of the three documents, namely Shanghai Residence Permit B, foreigner's permanent residence ID card and foreigner's work residence permit, and their passports.

2. Secondly, the handling personnel can apply for insurance at Shanghai Social Security Sub-center from 5th to 26th of each month (except legal holidays).

3. Finally, you can apply for a medical insurance card.
