Can Shanghai social security be paid by individuals?

Legal analysis: Shanghai social security can be paid by itself, but it must be a local account in Shanghai, and foreign accounts cannot pay social security by themselves. Residents with local hukou, with the original and photocopy of their ID card, employment unemployment registration certificate or a copy of the information page of the labor manual, go to the real-name registration system registration and settlement account card opened by the designated social security bank, sign the bank transfer and withhold personal social insurance premiums, and pay social security by themselves.

Twenty-sixth basic medical insurance for employees, new rural cooperative medical care and basic medical insurance for urban residents shall be implemented in accordance with state regulations.

Twenty-eighth medical expenses that meet the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, medical service facilities standards and emergency treatment and rescue shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations.
