Guangzhou social security Foshan hospital designated medical institutions

Foshan medical insurance can now be used in Guangzhou. However, you need to apply to the social security agency in the district where you are insured for medical treatment in a different place first.

According to a report in the Pearl River Times on September 12, 2013, the Foshan Municipal Social Security Bureau has issued the "Regulations on the Management of Foshan City's Medical Insurance Benefits Issuance and Handling Operations" (draft for comments). The opinion draft stipulates that three categories of eligible people can apply for medical treatment in other places, and the medical expenses incurred in 13 designated institutions of basic medical insurance with network in other places (hereinafter referred to as designated medical institutions) can be instantly settled on-site at the hospital. There are 44 designated medical institutions outside Foshan City, of which 13 have been networked, and the networked hospitals are all hospitals in Guangzhou.

The three categories of people are:

1) retirees who have been living in a different place for more than 180 days;

2) disabled workers with Grade 1 and Grade 4 work-related injuries;

3) in-service workers who have been stationed in a unit outside of Foshan for more than 180 days or insured residents who have been living in a different place for more than 180 days.
