Chongqing's social security paid 15 years can be transferred to Shanghai

Chongqing's social security can be transferred to Shanghai after 15 years of payment (subject to one of the four conditions below).

According to the process of transferring pension insurance across provinces, a normal insured person can complete the process within a week at the earliest if all the materials are ready in place, and normally it will not take more than 45 working days, and 90% of the work is done by the social security agencies of the place where the pension insurance relationship is transferred to and from.

The first step is that the insured person should go to the social security organization in Chongqing (the original place of insured) to issue the "Certificate of Basic Pension Insurance Participation and Payment" before moving across provinces.

Step 2: The insured person takes the contribution voucher, household register, ID card and so on to the social security organization in Shanghai (the new place of employment) to apply for the continuation of the relationship.

Step 3: The social security institution in Shanghai (the new place of employment) examines whether the applicant meets one of the following four conditions within 15 working days:

Men are under 50 years old and women are under 40 years old;

The applicant has returned to the place of domicile to participate in the insurance scheme;

The transfer has been approved by the organization and human resources department of the county or above, and the applicant has established a labor relationship and paid the basic old-age insurance with the unit to which the applicant is transferred;

To meet the conditions for receiving benefits but the relationship is not in the place of domicile and the contribution is less than 10 years, should be transferred back to the last full 10 years of the region or are less than 10 years back to the place of domicile.

The fourth step: Chongqing (former place of insurance) social security agencies in 15 working days after receiving the "letter of contact", will clean up the applicant's contributions whether there are arrears of contributions and the transfer of pension insurance fund, the termination of the applicant's participation in the local relationship, the new place of insurance to the Shanghai issued the "transfer of basic old-age insurance relations to continue the information table".

The final step: the social security organization in Shanghai (the new place of participation) will complete the relevant procedures within 15 working days after receiving the Information Form and the transfer fund.
