How to transfer social security to a new workplace

(1) No social security transfer is required for social security in the same city. If a participant leaves his or her original work unit to work in another unit in the same city, the participant only needs to provide the new work unit with the original and photocopy of his or her ID card. It will be able to handle the payment of social security contributions. And it will be combined with the original social security file to calculate the contribution time and the accumulated contribution amount.

(2) When a participant in inter-regional mobile employment leaves the place of employment, he/she will go to the social security bureau with his/her ID card to apply for a Pension Insurance Payment Certificate, and after enrolling in the new employment and paying social security premiums to the new employment and work unit, the participant or employer will apply for transfer of the pension insurance relationship to the social security bureau in the new place of enrollment by presenting the Pension Insurance Payment Certificate. After the successful application, the social security of the two places will be combined to calculate the contribution time and the accumulated contribution amount.
