The Present Situation of Pension Gap in China

Legal analysis: At present, China's pension payment ratio is 38%, indicating that a large number of employees have not paid social security normally. One of the most important reasons is that some employees have great job mobility. Once they frequently change jobs, the part paid by the unit cannot be transferred with the region, and employees themselves cannot enjoy preferential treatment. So some migrant workers and freelancers will not take the initiative to pay social security.

Thirteenth employees of state-owned enterprises and institutions to participate in the basic old-age insurance, the basic old-age insurance premiums payable during the payment period shall be borne by the government. When the basic old-age insurance fund is insufficient to pay, the government gives subsidies.
