Recently, the provincial government issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Social Security Cards", demanding the construction of a unified social security "one card" application platform in different places, which can provide support for cardholders' social insurance relationship transfer and medical treatment in different places, and realize the "one card use" of social security cards in the province's human resources and social security system.

At present, the construction of social security cards in Zhejiang Province has been piloted in Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing and Quzhou, and social security cards will be the first to be applied in medical insurance business. In the whole province, if the insured is sick in different places, they can seek medical treatment with social security card, and only need to pay the medical expenses that the individual should bear, which can greatly simplify the settlement process of medical treatment in different places. It is reported that before the end of this year, Zhejiang Province will complete the construction of social security card systems in provincial and pilot cities, and realize the application of card-holding medical treatment for insured persons and settlement of medical treatment in different places.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, in addition to medical insurance, Zhejiang Province will gradually promote the application of social security cards in various social insurances such as pension, work injury and maternity.
