What's the difference between Shenzhen social security card and labor security card?

Since March 3, 2008, Shenzhen has stopped issuing the original Shenzhen labor security card (i.e. magnetic card), and the original magnetic card held by the insured (i.e. Shenzhen labor security card or Shenzhen employee social insurance card) can continue to be used. The Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau plans to completely transition to the social security card in three years. During the transition period, the original magnetic card and the new social security card can be used in parallel. The social security card is called "Social Security Card of the People's Republic of China", which is uniformly planned and designed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and distributed to the society by local labor and social security departments. The main information on the social security card includes the cardholder's name, gender, card number, computer number, citizenship number and other basic information.
