Conditions for applying for residence permit in Shenzhen

The conditions for applying for a residence permit in Shenzhen are that you have lived in Shenzhen for at least 1 year and paid social security for at least 1 year. In this case, foreigners can go to the local police station to apply for a residence permit. It should be noted here that the payment of social security should last for one year in a row. If there is an interruption in the middle, it is necessary to meet the conditions of paying social security for 18 months within two years.

What materials do I need to apply for a residence permit in Shenzhen?

1. Fill in the Shenzhen Residence Permit Application Form as required.

2. The original and photocopy of the applicant's resident identity card or other valid identification certificate.

3. Digital photo receipt. The applicant went to the photo studio opened in online certification to take digital photos and get a photo receipt.

4. Submit one of the following documents as required:

(1) If you apply for employment, the employer will log in to the online application system for residence permit/employment registration in Shenzhen, submit electronic data online, and apply centrally with the Application Form for Residence Permit in Shenzhen and the list of applicants.

(2) To apply for owning real estate, submit the original and photocopy of the real estate license or other property ownership certificate of the house where the applicant lives (the spouse and children of the real estate license owner should also provide the original and photocopy of the household registration book and marriage certificate (or proof of marital status) when applying for residence permit);

(3) Persons applying for residence permit as talents or overseas talents shall submit the certification materials issued by the relevant departments of the municipal government;

Non-deep household registration personnel applying for residence permit shall meet the following conditions:

(1) Having a legal and stable residence in the Special Zone. Non-deep household registration personnel who have lived continuously for twelve months from the date of household registration to the date of applying for residence permit shall be deemed to have a legally stable residence;

(2) Having a lawful and stable occupation in the Special Zone. Non-deep household registration personnel who have participated in social insurance in the special zone for twelve consecutive months or eighteen months before the date of applying for residence permit shall be deemed to have a legal and stable occupation from the date of household registration to the date of applying for residence permit.

Non-deep household registration personnel who meet the conditions for talent introduction in the Special Zone and are receiving full-time secondary and higher education in the Special Zone may apply for residence permits directly if they register in the Special Zone in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations.
