Whether employers need to pay social security for part-time jobs depends on the relationship between employees and employers. If it is a labor relationship, there is no need to pay social security. Part-time employees include three types: part-time employees, labor dispatch employees and employees with special labor relations.

1. Part-time employees: Employers only need to pay work-related injury insurance in social security, and employees can pay endowment insurance and medical insurance by themselves.

If the employer fails to apply for work-related injury insurance for part-time employees, the employees shall enjoy work-related injury insurance benefits in accordance with the law.

2. Dispatched employees: The dispatched employees shall conclude a labor contract with the labor dispatch unit, and the labor dispatch unit shall pay social insurance premiums for the employees, and the employer does not need to apply for social insurance.

3. Employees with special labor relations: employees who leave their jobs without pay, retired employees who have not reached the statutory retirement age, laid-off employees who are waiting for their posts, employees who stop production and take long holidays in enterprises, etc., are treated according to labor relations, and the employer pays social insurance premiums for them. Employees who have enjoyed pension insurance benefits or received pensions according to law are regarded as labor relations, and employers do not need to pay social insurance premiums.

To sum up, if there is a labor dispute between the employer and its employees who have already enjoyed the pension insurance benefits or received the pension according to law, the people's court shall handle it according to the labor relations in the determination of labor relations, so there is no need to pay social security for such employees.
