Is industrial injury insurance social security?

Work-related injury insurance refers to a social insurance system in which workers or their survivors suffer from occupational diseases in the working environment or accidents at work, or in other cases that meet the legal requirements, resulting in temporary or even permanent loss of working ability and death, and the state and society give material help. Social security includes: industrial injury insurance, endowment insurance, medical insurance, maternity insurance and unemployment insurance.

Legal basis: Article 2 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) The state establishes industrial injury insurance system, unemployment insurance system, maternity insurance system, basic old-age insurance system and basic medical insurance system to guarantee citizens' right to get material help from the state and society in case of industrial injury, unemployment, maternity, old-age care and illness.
