Suzhou Social Security Housing Policy

1. At present, Suzhou's purchase restriction policy still implements the basic regulations issued on April 4, 20 16, but the social security restrictions for foreign accounts have been revised.

From July 25th, 20 19, when families who are not registered in this city apply to buy 1 houses in Suzhou, Kunshan and Taicang, they should provide proof that they have paid personal income tax or social insurance (urban social insurance) continuously for two years or more in Suzhou within the first three years from the date of purchase.

2. Except for the upgraded purchase restriction policy in Xiangcheng District, there is no change in other areas for the time being. The new house purchase policy in Xiangcheng District started from 20181101.

(1) According to the "Measures for the Administration of Floating Population's Points Entering Houses", the points will be included in the qualification examination conditions for non-Suzhou registered households to purchase commercial housing in Xiangcheng District, and the sales of new commercial housing to non-Suzhou registered households with applicants' points less than 600 will be suspended.

(2) Personal points are provided by Xiangcheng District Points Office.

(3) At the same time, the "Implementation Opinions on Talents Living and Working in Xiangcheng District (Trial)" was issued, which clearly stated that talents who come to Xiangcheng for employment can obtain the qualification to buy a house by issuing a talent certificate, and with this certificate, they can buy a house in Xiangcheng District without the restrictions of household registration and points in the general purchase policy.
