Preferential policies for enterprise social security relief in 2020

Legal analysis: The social security reduction and exemption policy in 2020 mainly refers to exempting small and medium-sized enterprises from the payment of three social insurances: basic old-age insurance, unemployment insurance and industrial injury insurance. At the end of June 2020, the state decided to exempt small and medium-sized enterprises from the payment of three social insurance units, and extended the implementation until the end of February 2020. However, in 20021,different measures were taken in different places, some areas no longer had preferential treatment, and some areas still extended the social security relief policy.

Legal basis: Article 58 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the employer shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for employees within 30 days from the date of employment. If the social insurance has not been registered, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premium it should pay.
