The specific time for using medical insurance after social security payment is as follows:

1. From the first month of paying social security, you can use the personal payment part of the medical insurance card to go to the pharmacy or hospital to buy medicine or see a doctor with the medical insurance card. General medical expenses can be reimbursed after one year. According to the relevant laws and regulations in China, employees should participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and employers and employees should jointly pay the basic medical insurance premiums in accordance with state regulations;

2. Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who have not participated in the basic medical insurance for employees of the employer and other flexible employees can participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and individuals shall pay the basic medical insurance premium in accordance with state regulations.

Article 29

The medical expenses of the insured shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund, and shall be directly settled by social insurance agencies, medical institutions and pharmaceutical business units.
