Can you swipe a family member's health insurance card

It is not possible to swipe a family member's health insurance card.

The social security card is a personal social security card, and in principle it is not allowed to be used by loved ones; however, in practice, it can be used to purchase medication for your parents. The use of the health insurance card is even stricter, and is limited to the use of the individual, and may not be used by anyone else, including a spouse, parent, or child. The use of health insurance cards in violation of the regulations, such as impersonation, may result in the recovery of reimbursement, and in serious cases, even disqualification from health insurance, and cases involving huge amounts of money may be transferred to the public security organs for processing. However, according to the new policy of health insurance, the use of funds in the individual account of employee health insurance has been broadened to allow family members to **** relief use, which means that family members can use the funds in the individual health insurance account to pay for medical expenses when they are hospitalized.

Regulations on the use of health insurance cards:

1. Personal information bound to the health insurance card: The health insurance card is usually bound to the cardholder's personal identification information and is used to record the individual's medical services and expenses;

2. Use of the health insurance card: It is mainly used for settlement of medical bills in medical institutions, purchase of medicines, and handling of business related to the health insurance;

3. Consequences of illegal use: Illegal use of other people's health insurance card may lead to the suspension or cancellation of the qualification of health insurance, and may even face legal liability;

4, the loss of the card and replacement: if the card is lost, the cardholder should lose the card in a timely manner and in accordance with the prescribed procedures for the replacement;

5, the card replacement: with the updating of the health insurance policy, the card may need to be updated to adapt to the new health insurance management system.

In summary, although the social security card can be used to purchase medicines for parents under certain conditions, the use of the health insurance card is strictly regulated and limited to the use of the person, and violation of the rules may lead to serious consequences, including disqualification and legal liability; however, the new health insurance policy has relaxed the use of funds from the personal account of the employees' health insurance and allows the use of the funds in the hospitalization of a family member, reflecting the improvement of a more humanized and convenient way.
