Rural households have no social security

The Labor Contract Law stipulates that employers must sign labor contracts for their employees and participate in social insurance. Rural hukou can absolutely buy social security, and the contribution ratio (company + individual) is lower than that of urban hukou.

You can enroll in insurance through enterprises or in the form of flexible employment. You can do this with a flat ID card and a hukou.

According to the current policy, in general, people with rural hukou cannot buy social security normally, and can only participate in rural cooperative medical insurance.

However, there are several situations in which they can be purchased!

One is that rural household members who have applied for business licenses can purchase it as self-employed or private enterprise employees.

The second is the rural household members, who work in the enterprise unit, to the enterprise unit employee status uniform.

Thirdly, people with rural household registration who have lost their land to expropriation.

Fourth, other special policy provisions of the rural household members.
