Taking Zhejiang as an example, the local Measures for Stopping Insurance for Flexible Employees (II) clarified the information and procedures needed for stopping insurance for local flexible employees.

Flexible employees, if they need to stop paying, need to provide the original ID card and local information, and directly apply to the social security agency in the insured area for stopping paying social insurance.

(a) Information required for flexible employees to terminate insurance:

1. Original and photocopy of ID card;

2. "Employee Pension Insurance Manual"

(2) The process of stopping insurance for flexible employees:

1. The insured shall submit his/her ID card and photocopy, employee pension insurance manual and personal application report to the business handling personnel;

2. After passing the examination and approval by the director of the jurisdiction, the business handling personnel will input the information of stopping insurance into the information system, print the Approval Form for Interruption of Social Insurance for the Insured in Pingyang County, and submit it to the insured for signature, and at the same time, print the Contact Form for Cancellation of Social Insurance Fee Withholding and Paying by the Bank for Flexible Employment in Pingyang County, and submit it to the insured for signature and confirmation, then take it back and save it, and prompt the insured to deposit the unpaid social insurance fee in the bank.
