Differences in treatment between social security in Tibet and social security in the mainland

In 2023, Tibet will implement a new talent introduction policy to attract more high-level talents to develop in Tibet. The policy content includes raising the subsidy standard for talent introduction and strengthening talent training and support.

Raise the subsidy standard for talent introduction: According to the new policy, Tibet will raise the subsidy standard for talent introduction to attract more outstanding talents to Tibet, especially high-end talents focusing on education, medical care, culture and ecological protection. At the same time, for qualified talents, preferential policies are given in terms of housing purchase and employment. 2. Strengthening personnel training and support: In order to improve the level of scientific and technological innovation in Tibet, the new policy proposes measures to strengthen the training and support of high-level personnel. Specifically, the government will increase the construction and investment of scientific and technological innovation platforms such as Tibetan universities and scientific research institutions, and encourage high-level talents to participate in scientific research projects. In addition, the government will provide corresponding funds and policy support to support talent entrepreneurship and scientific research.

Does the talent introduction policy apply to overseas talents? The new talent introduction policy is applicable to high-level talents around the world, including domestic and overseas talents. The government will give priority to talents with overseas study and work experience or graduates from famous foreign universities, and provide them with corresponding subsidies and preferential policies to attract more overseas talents to develop in Tibet.

People's governments at or above the county level shall take measures to encourage and support all sectors of society to participate in the supervision of social insurance funds.
