Social security standards for mobile workers in Wuhan

Flexible workers in Wuhan City enroll in the flexible employment window and pay only two social security contributions: pension insurance and medical insurance. On July 1 every year, the social security contribution standard is adjusted according to the change of the average salary of on-the-job workers in Wuhan in the previous year. The contribution base for pension insurance premiums is determined by 50%, 60% and 80% of the average salary of the post in three grades.

From July 1, 2014, the pension insurance contribution standard for flexibly employed persons: the first grade, from last year's 380.36 yuan/month, was adjusted upward to 447.88 yuan/month; the second grade, from last year's 456.44 yuan/month, was adjusted upward to 537.46 yuan/month; the third grade, from last year's 608.58 yuan/month, was adjusted upward to 716.60 yuan/month. Medical insurance contribution standard: from last year's 169.14 yuan / month, up to 238.65 yuan / month. This is the first time since 2011 that the city has raised the standard of medical insurance contributions.

According to this calculation, the total amount of social security contributions paid by flexibly employed people in July will be 686.53 yuan/month at the minimum and 955.25 yuan/month at the maximum, which is 137.03 yuan and 177.53 yuan more than that of June respectively.
