How to use medical insurance

Legal analysis: hospitalization reimbursement: cardholders can go through hospitalization procedures in designated hospitals with social security cards. Individuals do not need to pay first and then reimburse, and medical insurance and hospitals directly settle the part of medical insurance reimbursement. Only when going through the discharge formalities, the self-funded part will be paid by the balance of the medical insurance card or cash. Pharmacy purchase: Cardholders can bring their social security cards to designated retail pharmacies to buy appropriate drugs, and then pay by credit card. Buy commercial insurance: Cardholders can use the balance in their personal medical insurance accounts to buy commercial insurance and accidental injury insurance.

Twenty-eighth medical expenses that meet the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, medical service facilities standards and emergency treatment and rescue shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations.

Twenty-ninth medical expenses of the insured shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund, and shall be directly settled by the social insurance agency, medical institutions and pharmaceutical business units.

The administrative department of social insurance and the administrative department of health shall establish a settlement system for medical expenses in different places to facilitate the insured to enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits.
