Is it cost-effective to pay social security to affiliated companies?

After all, you are only affiliated with that unit, not an employee of that unit, so the base and proportion of payment depends on how other units arrange it, and it is very likely that you will bear it all yourself.

In addition, if the affiliated unit pays social security, five insurances, such as endowment insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance and maternity insurance, must be paid. In other words, you may have to bear all the expenses of these five insurances. Moreover, the affiliated unit also needs to pay the affiliated fee to the unit, which shows the great burden of payment.

It is suggested that unemployed people, or freelancers and self-employed people choose to pay social security as flexible employees when paying social security. Because paying social security as a flexible employee only needs pension insurance and medical insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance and maternity insurance are not available, and the cost will naturally be lower.

Of course, it is best to work in a company, and then the company pays and the company shares it with you. Not only do you not have to bear excessive premiums, but you can also enjoy more comprehensive protection.

Legal basis: Article 88 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) defrauds social insurance benefits by fraud, forgery of certification materials or other means, and the social insurance administrative department shall order it to return the defrauded social insurance benefits and impose a fine of not less than two times but not more than five times the amount defrauded.
