How to apply for social security retirement procedures

Steps for retirement procedures: first, submit a written application in advance to the employing unit or archive trusteeship department; then pay the socialized management service fee to the Enterprise Employees' Pension Insurance Settlement and Management Center (EEIIC) from the said unit; then go to the archive receiving window of the Municipal EEIIC to get the application form by the entitlement review unit after the retirement declaration; and lastly, apply to the social security agency for registration of retirement in a timely manner.

Legal basis

The State Council on the Interim Measures for Workers' Retirement and Retirement, Article 1

Workers of nationally owned enterprises, public institutions and party and government organs, and workers of mass organizations shall be retired if they meet one of the following conditions.

(1) Men who have reached the age of sixty and women who have reached the age of fifty, with ten years of continuous service.

(2) Those who are engaged in underground, high-altitude, high-temperature, particularly heavy physical labor or other work harmful to health, and who have reached the age of fifty-five for men and forty-five for women, with ten years of continuous service.

The provisions of this subparagraph also apply to basic cadres whose working conditions are the same as those of workers.

(3) Men who have reached the age of fifty and women who have reached the age of forty-five, with ten years of continuous service, and who are certified by a hospital and confirmed by the Labor Appraisal Committee that they are totally incapable of working.

(4) Disabled at work, certified by the hospital and confirmed by the Labor Appraisal Committee, with total loss of working ability.
