Is the social security number the same as the ID number?

According to the inquiry method, the social security card number and ID number are the same. Article 58 of the Social Insurance Law stipulates: "The state establishes a national unified personal social security number, and the personal social security number is a citizenship number". According to the types of cardholders, social security cards can be divided into two categories: social security (individual) cards for urban employees, unemployed people and retirees and social security (employer) cards for employers.
