Does personal social security need a household registration book?

Personal social security does not need a household registration book, as follows:

1. Under normal circumstances, those who meet the requirements for participating in social security can make an appointment by telephone at an outlet or go directly to the local social security bureau. You can bring your own ID card materials when you handle it, and you don't need to use a household registration book. But if you don't know what other materials are needed, you can call the local social security bureau to find out;

2. However, if it is a collective account, you need to apply for relevant certificates at the place where the household registration is located before you can apply for social security.

If employees pay social security, the company's HR Commissioner is responsible for handling social security, printing and paying business cards, and the HR Commissioner can handle it directly through the company without personal participation. After the social security card is issued, the company HR Commissioner will issue the social security card to all employees.

Legal basis: Article 58 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Social Insurance Law.

The employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees. If the social insurance has not been registered, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premium it should pay.

Employees-free individual industrial and commercial households who voluntarily participate in social insurance, part-time employees who do not participate in social insurance in the employing unit and other flexible employees shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration.

The state establishes a national unified personal social security number. Personal social security number is a citizen's identity number.
