You don't need to submit a social security card to apply for a Hong Kong and Macao Pass. Applicants who apply for Hong Kong and Macao Pass in different places may need to submit proof of social insurance payment. Take Guangdong Province as an example, they need to submit the social insurance payment certificate issued by the human resources and social security department for more than one year.

Take Guangdong Province as an example. To apply for a travel permit and endorsement to and from Hong Kong and Macao, the following materials shall be submitted:
