What about the new social security card and the old one?

Legal analysis: when the social security card is changed in the same bank, the original card can still be used. Citizens get new cards, and banks recycle old cards and cancel them. After the settlement of the old card funds is completed, the funds in the old card will be transferred to the new card account at the same time. When a citizen replaces a cooperative bank with a new card, the original card is cancelled and recycled by the original cooperative bank and cannot be used again. Within 10 working days after the citizens receive the new card, the funds in the original card cancellation account will be settled and transferred to the new card account opened by the new cooperative bank for the same cardholder.

Article 2 The state establishes social insurance systems such as basic old-age insurance, basic medical insurance, industrial injury insurance, unemployment insurance and maternity insurance, so as to guarantee citizens' right to receive material assistance from the state and society in accordance with the law in case of old age, illness, industrial injury, unemployment and maternity.

Twenty-sixth basic medical insurance for employees, new rural cooperative medical care and basic medical insurance for urban residents shall be implemented in accordance with state regulations.

Twenty-eighth medical expenses that meet the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, medical service facilities standards and emergency treatment and rescue shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations.
