The difference between municipal medical insurance and provincial medical insurance

The difference between municipal medical insurance and provincial medical insurance: different departments, different insured persons, different provisions of medical insurance system, different social security cards and different handling locations.

1, different permissions

The competent unit of provincial medical insurance is the provincial medical insurance center under the Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau; Municipal medical insurance is a municipal medical insurance center and a county-level medical insurance center under the municipal medical insurance bureaus.

2. The insured objects are different.

The main participants of provincial medical insurance are provincial units, such as provincial organs, provincial institutions, offices and institutions accredited by the central government at the provincial level, branches accredited by provincial enterprises and central enterprises at the provincial level, and enterprises registered in provincial market supervision departments. The objects of municipal medical insurance are institutions, enterprises, employees and flexible employees within the municipal administrative area.

3. The provisions of the medical insurance system are different.

At present, China's medical insurance system is formulated by all regions as a whole. Provincial medical insurance and municipal medical insurance belong to different areas as a whole, so there are many subtle differences in the implementation rules of medical insurance, such as the proportion of medical insurance returned to personal accounts and the proportion of medical insurance hospitalization reimbursement.

4. Social security cards are different.

The social security card used for provincial medical insurance is issued by the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the social security card used for municipal medical insurance is issued by the Municipal Department of Human Resources and Social Security. The official seals above are the Human Resources and Social Security Department of XXX Province or the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of XXX City respectively.

5. The handling place is different.

Provincial medical insurance can only be kept by the employees and files of provincial units in the provincial talent agency center, and handled by the provincial pension. Municipal medical insurance can only be kept by the employees and files of municipal units in the talent agency center of the city, and shall be handled by the municipal pension co-ordination institution.
