The photo on your social security card can actually be changed. So if you've received your social security card and realize that the photo on it is ugly, you can get it changed.

All you have to do is bring your ID and a colorful, white, one-inch, front-facing, bare-chested, electronic version of your photo in jpg format that is no smaller than 9KB, no larger than 20KB, and 358 pixels wide by 441 pixels high to your local social security center to apply for a replacement photo on your social security card.

After you submit your photo electronically, you can usually bring your ID card to the social security center within four business days to receive your new replacement card.

If you need to see a doctor during the card replacement period, you can bring your Proof of Receipt of New and Replacement Social Security Cards, and then keep all the invoices and prescriptions from the doctor's visit, and then follow the manual reimbursement process after you receive your new card.
