There are more than 2,000 industrial and commercial enterprises with more than 29,000 employees, including 37 scientific and technological enterprises and 5 national high-tech enterprises. The annual output value of high-tech industries is more than 6 billion yuan, with an added value of 2.532 billion yuan.

Since the establishment of Daye Development Zone, the focus has been on attracting investment, supported by industrial parks and project construction, and the economic growth has been strong. For several consecutive years, the economic growth ranks in the forefront of the development zones in the province, and in 2009, the comprehensive economic strength jumped to the first place in the county-level development zones in the province. 201114 With the approval of the Hubei provincial government, Daye Economic Development Zone has become a provincial high-tech industrial park, enjoying the relevant policies of provincial high-tech zones and being under the centralized management of the provincial science and technology department.
