Around Yanhuang, with the eastward expansion of clans and Huangdi tribes, Wu people were forced to move eastward on a large scale. By the time of Yaoshun, many branches of Wu people had moved to the Yangtze River Delta in the southeast coast. When dealing with rivers and lakes, the "Tianwu" clan god, who once blessed his descendants in hunting, became the "water uncle" who protected the son of Wu Sun Ping.
