Hubei Geological Bureau was established in 1952, originally under the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Land and Resources. In May 1999,/kloc-0 was placed under the management of Hubei Provincial People's Government, mainly engaged in basic, public welfare and strategic geological work in the province.
