The Open University of China was founded in 1960 and is the earliest television university in the country. Wu Han, the then deputy mayor of Beijing and a famous historian, was the school’s first principal.

Registration requirements for the Beijing Branch of the Open University of China:

Undergraduate major enrollment targets and conditions:

Possessing the same or similar majors in the national education series (including junior colleges) ) or above.

The nursing major is limited to on-the-job health technicians who have graduated from a nursing college and hold a nurse practitioner qualification certificate.

Pharmacy major enrollment is limited to technical personnel in the health and pharmaceutical industries.

Enrollment is limited to people working and living in Beijing.

Enrollment targets and conditions for junior college majors:

Those with high school, vocational high school, technical secondary school, technical school or above.

Limited to people working and living in Beijing.

The "One Village One College Student Plan" major is mainly aimed at rural youth who have graduated from high school (including vocational high school, technical secondary school, and technical school).
