Historical evolution:

1994 Taian high-tech industrial development zone was established, and the old district is located in the east of Taicheng.

1995 was approved by Shandong provincial government as a provincial high-tech zone.

Before April 2002, the provincial economic development zone in the south of the city and the provincial tourist resort in the west of the city were managed by three brands.

After April 2002, Tai 'an High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Tai 'an Economic Development Zone were co-located, and Tai 'an Taishan Tourist Resort was separated.
