What are the work scopes of fitters?

Fitter is divided into general fitter, mechanic fitter and tool fitter.

1. Chief assembler: one who assembles, trims and processes parts.

2. Machinist and fitter: Mainly engaged in the maintenance and repair of various mechanical equipment.

3. Tool fitter: Mainly engaged in the design, manufacture and repair of tools, molds and cutters.

There are five levels of this profession, namely: primary (national vocational qualification level 5), intermediate (national vocational qualification level 4), advanced (national vocational qualification level 3), technician (national vocational qualification level 2) and senior technician (national vocational qualification level 1).

Scope of work:

It mainly includes marking, parts processing, assembly, equipment maintenance and innovative technology.

(1) marking lines are used to mark parts before machining.

(2) The manufacturing of parts that are not suitable for machining or can not be solved by mechanical methods, as well as all kinds of tools, fixtures, measuring tools and special equipment, should be completed by locksmiths.

(3) Assembly: According to the technical accuracy requirements of the machine, the processed parts are assembled to make it a complete machine.

(4) Equipment maintenance The parts of mechanical equipment that are damaged, out of order or lose precision after long-term use shall be maintained and repaired by locksmiths.
