How to paint galvanized sheet?

The surface of galvanized sheet is easy to fall off when coated with ordinary paint. Take ED 1000 special paint for galvanized sheet, which is the most widely used in the market, as an example.

Galvanized plate brushing method is as follows:

(1) Wipe the surface of galvanized sheet with a matching solvent to remove grease, so as not to affect the adhesion. If there is corrosion, it can be completely polished without overall sandblasting or polishing.

(2) Brush ED 1000 epoxy primer, mix the coating and curing agent in proportion, add a proper amount of diluent, stir evenly, and spray to the required film thickness.

(3) Coating the matching topcoat, taking PU800 acrylic polyurethane topcoat as an example, mixing the coating and curing agent in proportion, adding a proper amount of diluent, stirring evenly, and spraying to the required film thickness.

(4) Check whether the film thickness is up to standard, whether the color is uniform, and whether there are any problems such as missing coating and foaming, and repair them in time if found.

Precautions:

(1) The ambient temperature is 5-40℃, and the air relative humidity is not more than 75%.

(2) The coating interval of each coat is surface drying time, and the coating interval of primer and topcoat is 24 hours.

(3) Special curing agent and diluent shall be used for primer and topcoat, and they shall not be mixed.

(4) The prepared paint shall be used up within 4 hours to avoid gelatinization of the paint.
