Why are food factories older?

1. nature of work: food processing requires care and patience. Older people usually have these qualities and can accomplish tasks better. In addition, food processing is hard and requires strong physical strength and endurance, which is usually possessed by the elderly.

2. Industry Tradition: The food industry has been regarded as a traditional labor-intensive industry in the past decades, and many jobs require a lot of manual operations. Because of this, many young people may be reluctant to engage in these jobs and choose other industries. Therefore, in order to recruit enough employees, food factories can only choose to recruit older people.
