As shown in the figure, the food distribution in China has changed greatly from11960s to11990s. According to the statistics of cereals, vegetables, meat and fruits, the number of people who eat rice, flour or vegetables has greatly decreased in the past forty years. On the contrary, the number of people who eat oil or meat has increased dramatically. From such dietary changes, we can see the rapid improvement of the living standards of our people.

Why is this improvement happening? The direct reason is that China people attach great importance to their health care. Nationally, China's economic growth is booming, and more people are getting richer. Personally, everyone's consumption of food is more and more diversified. In particular, most people don't want to eat too many vegetables, but eat too much meat and oil in their diet.

In my opinion, the change of diet distribution in China seems to have both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, China's economic growth has improved the standard of diet, and most people live a rich and happy life. But on the negative side, I am worried that eating less vegetables will lead to poor health, such as lack of vitamin nutrition in the body. Therefore, we think it is necessary for China people to realize a balanced diet: plenty of vegetables and meat, which may make us get healthier in the new century.
