Step 6: Then pay the visa fee of $440 and submit the DS-230 form and related notarization materials (so-called P3) to NVC.

Step 7: NVC starts the preliminary examination after receiving the letter of guarantee and P3. If the preliminary examination is qualified, the case information will be sent to the US Consulate in Guangzhou. If it is unqualified, the applicant will be required to modify the information again.

Step 8: After receiving the case information from NVC, the Consulate General of Guangzhou () of the United States will arrange a face-to-face interview according to the schedule and send the face-to-face interview time to the domestic beneficiaries in the form of letters, which is called "P4";

Step 9: According to the time and place of face-to-face signing, the domestic beneficiary will personally go to the US Consulate in Guangzhou to face-to-face signing.
