In agriculture, Zhanjiang Agricultural Reclamation Research Institute (Southern Subtropical Crop Breeding Center) took the lead in establishing an improved seed breeding base with an annual output of 6.5438+million sisal tissue-cultured seedlings, with the goal of guiding the planting area of Zhanjiang sisal to 200,000 mu, including 6.5438+0.2 million mu of agricultural reclamation, driving the local towns and villages to 80,000 mu; The annual output of sisal fiber is 30,000 tons. The recent development focus of the reclamation area is to shift from the farm in the south of Leizhou Peninsula to Lianjiang Reservoir immigrant farm, and strive to support Lianjiang Dongsheng, Liming, Changshan and Hongjiang farms to develop sisal planting of more than 30,000 mu in the next three years.

In terms of industry, Dongfang Sisal Group will be urged to become a key leading enterprise in national agricultural industrialization, and a provincial sisal industry technology innovation center will be established to provide strong technical support for strengthening and expanding Zhanjiang sisal industry; At the same time, speed up the construction of Mazhang Sisal Industrial Park as a "window" to improve the level of sisal industry and display the image of Zhanjiang Sisal City.
