Wutai Mountain is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China and a national AAAAA tourist attraction. It is located in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, and belongs to the northern end of Taihang Mountain System. It spans more than 500 miles in Wuzhou, including Wutai County, Fan Shi, Daixian County, Yuanping City and Dingxiang County. It is located between 38 55'-39 66' north latitude and113 29'-113 39' east longitude, and consists of a series of mountains and peaks. The scenic spot has a planned area of 607 square kilometers and an administrative jurisdiction area of 436 square kilometers.

Main attraction

(1) Xiantong Temple

Located behind the Tayuan Temple, the existing buildings were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, covering an area of more than 80,000 square meters and with more than 400 buildings. There are seven halls on the central axis, namely Guanyin Hall, Manjusri Hall, Giant Buddha Hall, Infinite Hall, Qianbo Hall, Bronze Hall and Jingtang from front to back.

(2) Tayuan Temple

Located in the center of Taihuai Town, Tayuan Temple is named after the Great White Pagoda, the symbol of Wutai Mountain. This big white pagoda is 75.3 meters high and 83 meters in circumference. It was built during the reign of Emperor Xiaowen in the Northern Wei Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty.

③ Bodhisattva Top

Located on the spiritual Jiu Feng behind Xiantong Temple, it is said to be the residence of Manjusri Bodhisattva, also known as Manjusri Hall and Zhenrongyuan. There are 108 stone steps in front of the temple, and facing upwards is a wooden archway with the words "Lingfeng Scenic Area" written on it. Buddhism believes that people have 108 kinds of troubles, and the way to get rid of them is called "Dharma".

(4) Nanshan Temple

Built in the pillow Yamanoe, the slope is cut into grades, and every 108 step is misty, full of green, shaped like a ladder. Their buildings have their own characteristics, and they are all praised by the world for their sculptures. Nanshan Temple is built on the mountain, with a tall white marble archway above the steps and seven magnificent halls behind it. From bottom to top, it is surrounded by ancient trees and springs.
