Denmark will implement stricter new policies to restrict immigration.

The new immigration policy bill reached by the two sides stipulates that any foreign immigrant can obtain permanent residency in Denmark after living in Denmark for seven years, but now it only takes three years. The center-right coalition government of Denmark, composed of the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party, has always said that it will implement stricter immigration restrictions since it came to power in June last year. Since the coalition government holds only a few seats in the Danish parliament, it has to seek the support of the Danish People's Party, which is famous for its xenophobia, so that the bill can be passed in the parliament.
