1. Sweden is a Schengen country. The period of stay for issuing Schengen visas generally does not exceed 90 days.

2. China citizens who travel to several Schengen countries at the same time shall submit visa applications to embassies and consulates in China, the main destination country. If the main destination country cannot be determined, it should be submitted to embassies and consulates in China, the country with the longest stay in China. When the visit duration of each Schengen agreement country is equal, it shall be submitted to embassies and consulates in China, the first country of entry.

Ordinary passport holders must submit their visa applications in person at the embassy or consulate.

All visa application materials must be translated into English or Swedish.

6. Make a decision within 15 working days after submitting the application. For individual applications, it can be extended to 30 working days.

Folding long-term visa

1) Apply for a study or research residence permit visa.

(1) Two completed and signed application forms.

(2) Two passport photos within six months. Unqualified photos will be returned.

(3) Two copies of passport identity page. If you don't have a passport, you can apply first and then return it. The embassy only accepts passports signed by passport holders.

(4) Statement, certificate and copy of full-time study in Sweden.

If you plan to learn Swedish before undergraduate study, you must provide the letter of acceptance from the language school and the confirmation letter from the undergraduate university when applying.

(6) If you have a work unit in China, you should also provide a letter of introduction (in English) and its copy. The letter of introduction should mention your position, with the employer's address, telephone number, stamp and signature.

Once you participate in the exchange program between Chinese and Swedish schools, you need to provide the original and copy of the letter of introduction from your school.

There is a financial guarantee, such as a bank deposit certificate. Ten months a year, at least 7,300 Swedish kronor per month. Financial guarantee sufficient for the time needed to complete the whole study in Sweden should be provided. Provide English materials and their copies. The funds should be deposited in the bank in the name of the applicant.

If you study in Sweden for less than one year, you must buy comprehensive health insurance. Insurance should cover the whole time of your stay, and the insurance amount should be at least 30 thousand euros, including emergency medical treatment and medical treatment in China.

Folding visa for visiting relatives

If you plan to live in Sweden for a long time with your husband, wife, cohabiting partner or children or other close relatives, you should apply for a residence permit before going to Sweden. (6) Two copies of the identity page of the passport of parents, children or other relatives (in Sweden).

(7) Two copies of the identity certificate (personbevis) issued by the tax bureau for parents, children or other relatives (in Sweden).

(8) Other documents proving that you depend on your children/parents/relatives.

6) Residence permit visa for accompanying work: If you plan to live with your husband/wife/cohabiting partner/parents working in Switzerland for a period of time, you should apply for a residence permit. Apply for a residence permit at the Swedish Embassy in China. After the embassy accepts the application, it will submit your application to the Swedish Immigration Bureau. If the application is approved, the Swedish Immigration Bureau will send the residence permit card to the embassy in China, and the embassy will inform the applicant to come to the embassy to collect the residence permit card. Not allowed to enter Sweden, waiting for the decision of the Immigration Bureau. Application materials to be submitted:

Economic guarantee (living expenses of at least 2,700 kronor per month in Sweden) and its copy are applicable to applicants accompanying self-employment or accompanying work.
