In order to protect the upstream water source of Yangxi Reservoir, Yongkang Municipal Government has explored the development of high-efficiency and high-quality ecological recycling agriculture through industrial restructuring, and at the same time, it has given various subsidies and incentives to farmers in the reservoir area, and guided the cultivation of "three belts and two districts" such as fruit industry belt, sericulture industry belt, organic tea (camellia oleifera) industry belt, small coarse cereals production area and alpine vegetable production area, thus increasing the income of local farmers. Yongkang proposed to build Yangxi drinking water source area into a modern and efficient ecological recycling agriculture demonstration area. This means that ecological agriculture has built a "green barrier" for the drinking water source of 300,000 people in Yongkang.
