A few days ago, the Political Work Department of the Armed Police Force issued the Interim Measures for the Distribution of Cadres and Students Volunteering to Work in Xinjiang and Tibet (hereinafter referred to as the Interim Measures), which provided policy compliance and institutional guarantee for better guiding and encouraging outstanding talents to volunteer to make contributions in the border areas.

The "Interim Measures" was formulated by the Political Work Department of the Armed Police Force in accordance with the relevant policies and regulations such as the "Regulations on Graduation Distribution of Cadets Growing in the Army", on the basis of summing up the experience and practices of outstanding students volunteering to work in the border areas in recent years, in line with the principles of establishing clear guidance, solidifying policy mechanisms and strengthening implementation, after full investigation and argumentation and extensive consultation.

The "Interim Measures" consists of 6 chapters and 30 articles, which mainly stipulates the distribution methods, incentives, training and use, welfare benefits, etc. of outstanding students who volunteer to work in Xinjiang and Tibet. It is clear that students who volunteer to work in Xinjiang and Tibet will be guaranteed by setting up a special distribution plan, which will be included in the "database of volunteers going to the border" of the Armed Police Force, and they will be rewarded for meritorious service, given a higher salary grade and given priority for promotion.

The "Interim Measures" require that growing cadres and students be assigned to volunteer work in Xinjiang and Tibet after graduation. Under the unified leadership of the Political Work Department of the Armed Police Force, political organs at all levels are responsible at different levels, with institutions (training offices) and troops stationed in Xinjiang and Tibet as the main body of work, and troops stationed in other areas to assist in the protection and organize the implementation in a planned way.
