[Riding] Crossing Hulunbeier (4)-Weather and climate
1, a long day
On July 16, I arrived in Ulanhot, took my bike from the courier, assembled it and prepared to ride on the road. It's past 1 1 in the morning, but I rode 1 14km in the afternoon. Actually, it's not my fault for running fast. The average speed is only13 km/m. I know, some people are saying, isn't it too late to 2 1:40? Actually, it's not too late You know, when I was on the road at 20:30, my brother who was drinking in Suizhou asked me where I lived. I said I was riding on the road. He was surprised and said, Are you crazy? I smiled and said, don't worry, fortunately, the sun has just set in the sky. Before in Kashgar, Xinjiang in 2006, I called my child at 8: 00 pm. I said there was still sun in the sky, and she said I was lying. But now it's in the northeast. Vertically, it is at least two time zones away from Xinjiang, even in eastern Hubei. Only then did I know that latitude has such a great influence on sunrise, sunset and daylight saving time.
However, this is not the most surprising. When I found a store to stay, I asked the waiter when it would dawn the next day and hoped to get up early and leave. I thought she said after six or five, and she said after three or four. I'm afraid she didn't hear the question clearly or I misheard the answer, so that I asked it three times, really three times. The curtains don't shade well. When I was awakened by the light outside the window the next day, it was really only three o'clock. Oh, my God, I really took it. It seems that I have to go to bed early in the future, otherwise I won't have enough sleep time. In the northeast, not only the sunrise is early, but also the sunset is late. In summer, the Arctic Village not only lights up at three o'clock in the morning, but also has the afterglow of the sunset on the horizon at ten o'clock in the evening. Of course, as for winter, that's the other extreme.
Look, this is Deborah's sky and highway at 4: 30 in the morning.
2. gale
In Hulunbeier, besides the long daytime, another unforgettable thing is the strong wind. Although there are few chances of encountering strong winds this time, except for the afternoon when we arrived at Xinzuoqi on February1and the day when we visited Hulun Lake in Qi Xinyou on the 23rd, the rest of the weather was calm. However, it is still fresh in our memory. On July 2nd1day, we set off from Hirsch at 4am, and the whole journey was clear in Wan Li. However, about 20 kilometers away from Gulang Town, A Mu, where Zuo Qi, the new Balhu, was stationed, the sky suddenly became overcast. After a few minutes, the wind blew hard and then it rained cats and dogs. The wind on the grassland is not better than that in Jiangnan. There is a strong wind blowing in Ma Pingchuan without any barrier, which makes people almost unable to move. Although we put on raincoats at once, the wind still poured into our necks, and there were almost one inch of pupils hanging on both sides of the bicycle, making it difficult to walk. The speed of pedaling hard on a flat road is less than 5 kilometers per hour, which is slower than walking. I feel more unstable after getting off the bus, and it is better to ride a stable bike. The pain and discomfort at that moment is really beyond words. However, we firmly believe that no matter how painful it is, we must get to Gulang Town, A Mu at night, and we must never freeze to death in this wild place to feed wolves. Fortunately, the wind and rain on the grassland come and go quickly. Less than half an hour, it was calm. In the distance, we see distant lights. We know that the brightly lit place is our destination tonight. However, why is the light always so far away? The vast grassland has excellent air, no pollution, strong penetration and good sight. Therefore, there are actually more than ten or twenty kilometers within our reach.
On July 29th, when we arrived in Hailar to load the car and deliver the express, the owner of this car shop asked us how Hulunbeier was. Still coming? Dahongshan Road: "Good, beautiful, come again." The boss gave us a thumbs-up and said, "You cattle B, you are the first riders I met who said they would come back. In May last year, a cyclist came to ride for a day and sent the car back, saying what kind of broken grass is this, what weather is it, what kind of car is it? " Afterwards, I told Dahongshan that the boy didn't do a good job in raiders. In Hulunbeier in May, the temperature is low, the wind is strong and the grass is not long. what are you reading? Indeed, if you do your homework well and prepare well, you can play well and ensure safety.
3. the evil sun
We ride bicycles at home. Even in summer, sun protection can be sloppy at ordinary times. After a while, find a cool place or hide in the corner in front of the house and it will be cool. Anyway, we can always find a place to hide from the sun. However, riding on the grassland, the sun is something that people love and hate. It is really difficult and impossible to think that the weather is fine, the scenery is beautiful, there is no wind, it is suitable for cycling, and it is not sunny. Do you know it's best to hide in a cool place when riding a horse on the grassland?
Do you see anything from the picture above? Yes, the shade under the street sign is where we have a short rest. The 20-cm-wide shade generated by road signs, billboards and even telephone poles is an excellent place for us to rest and protect ourselves from the sun. Later, we talked with riders in Shenzhen, which happened to coincide.
You see, when riding, our equipment has always been like this. Do you look Japanese? Ha ha. However, this hat helped me a lot in the whole process. With it, I hardly get a tan. In Dahongshan, a fellow traveler, because it was too much trouble, fished for three days and dried his net for two days. As a result, his facial skin was sunburned and peeled off. This hat not only accompanied me through Hulunbeier. In 20 19, he accompanied me to complete the whole journey around Qinghai Lake. What a practical meritorious hat!
As for the grassland rain, to put it simply, the probability of grassland rain is still very small. Even if it rains, it usually stops soon. Unlike the rain in our south, it may rain for several hours or even a day. So if you want to ride there in the future, it is enough to bring a disposable raincoat and coat, so don't worry too much about the rain.
4 changeable temperature
As for the temperature, Hulunbeier in July is very cool. Most of the time, the temperature is 15-26 degrees, which is really a rare summer resort. But the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, so spare parts can be used. I remember that in the summer vacation of 20 17, I went out in July on 14 and went home on August 2, during which the high temperature in Suizhou continued to reach 38-40 degrees, while I was in Hulunbeier, completely avoiding that high temperature period.
Of course, there is no high temperature period on the grassland, and the maximum temperature during the day will basically not exceed 30 degrees. Because of the low humidity, even if you feel hot, you will feel cool or even a little cold as long as you sit indoors or in a cool place.
Here, I want to mention one place in particular, and that is Enkh. Look, this is En Lake.
Enkh, whose full name is Enkh Russian Ethnic Township in Ergun City, is the only Russian Ethnic Township in China. Located in the northwest of Hulunbeier, surrounded by mountains, it is only separated from Russia by water. The geographical location is about 5 1 north latitude, belonging to the alpine region. In the Sino-Russian Nebuchadnezzar Chu Treaty of 1689, the Ergon River was designated as the Sino-Russian border, but before the signing of this treaty, the Russians had crossed the Ergon River to graze, reclaim and search for gold on the south bank. After the signing of the treaty, the Russians withdrew their troops and dismantled their military fortresses, but there were still thousands of gold prospectors in China. From the second half of19th century, more Russians poured into China. At the same time, people from many provinces came here gradually, and most of them joined the ranks of gold diggers. During the 100 years when the two peoples lived together, many Russian girls became the wives of gold miners in China. In addition, after the October Revolution in Russia, many China immigrants in Russia returned to China with their Russian wives and children, and settled in Enhe Township and its nearby land.
Enkh is the only Russian ethnic township in China, and it is the main gathering place for Russians and descendants of China and Russia, mainly Han, Russians and Mongolians, of which Russians account for 30%. The houses where residents live are typical Russian wooden rafters. Most of them still retain relatively complete Russian culture and customs, so they can enjoy exotic customs and taste Russian cuisine without going abroad. Enkh is very quiet and carefree. No matter buildings, people, customs and products, they are full of exotic customs and are not expensive to consume. There are clean cabins and homestays everywhere. As long as you go, you will love it there.
Well, is everything all right? Not exactly. It's just too cold in summer. We came from Heishantou via X904, and it was still about 26 degrees halfway, but it was less than 15 degrees when we arrived in Enkh at night. People feel cold. The temperature at night is only about 10 degrees. Dahongshan said to go shopping after dinner. I said it was too cold, so I curled up under the covers and watched TV and brushed my mobile phone. I heard from a friend that when I arrived in Enhe, I saw the proprietress who was cooking was actually wearing a cotton-padded jacket. A group of people laughed at her there and thought, it's summer, and it's still over 20 degrees during the day. But the proprietress just smiled gently and said, you will know in a moment. Sure enough, the temperature was only 6-8 degrees at dinner, and everyone was shivering with cold. They rushed to the street to buy down jackets, and when the first buyer went back to ask his companions to come again, the down jackets had been robbed.
Therefore, friends who travel to the beautiful Enhe must be psychologically prepared. By the way, the Vicat house we live in is really good, the house is clean, the environment is good and the boss is very good. Want a phone? Oh, yes, 15648058802, 156480588 12. Of course, I don't know if the mobile phone has been changed now, but it can be found on the map.
The rider "symbol" written at the back is a master rider in Suizhou, Hubei Province. We often ride bikes together in Suizhou cycling team. The year before last, I rode Hulunbeier grassland and Dahongshan in Suizhou with another master cyclist. Recently, he compiled the cycling diary of that year and posted it in QQ space. With his permission, I posted it on the platform intact. Share the fourth episode with you today.
