What happened to American immigrants with special talents?
Applications for "outstanding talents" in the United States include the following three types:
1. Super Alien (EB- 1A for short)
"Outstanding talents" or EB- 1(a) mainly refers to outstanding professionals who have special talents in five fields, such as science, art, education, commerce, or sports, have made great achievements and enjoyed national or international reputation, and their achievements and contributions have been widely recognized in this field. These people should be regarded as one of the few top figures in this field. Applicants will continue to work in their fields in the United States after obtaining the green card for outstanding talents, and their work will make substantial contributions to the relevant development of American society. EB- 1(a) You don't need to apply for a work permit, and you don't need a permanent work commitment. Applicants can also apply for immigration by themselves. Of course, American employers can also come forward to apply.
2. Outstanding professor or researcher (EB- 1B).
"Outstanding professors or researchers" or EB- 1(b) refer to those professors or researchers who have gained national or international reputation in a specific scientific or academic field. In addition, the applicant must be engaged in teaching or research in an academic field for at least three years. The research work during the doctoral period can be counted as the work experience in EB- 1(b). The requirements of EB- 1(b) are lower than EB- 1(a). Although EB- 1(b) does not need to apply for a work permit, the applicant must have a permanent work commitment and an American employer is required to apply for the applicant. Postdoctoral research is not a commitment to permanent work.
3. managers or senior executives of multinational companies (EB- 1C for short).
"Manager or president of a multinational company" or EB- 1(c) refers to those senior managers or senior managers transferred to the United States by multinational companies. The foreigner must be a permanent employee of an American company and have worked for an overseas related enterprise (parent company, subsidiary company or affiliated company) of an American company for at least one year in the past three years. Similarly, EB- 1(c) does not need to apply for a work permit, but it needs a permanent job commitment, and an American employer must come forward to apply for the applicant.
