Yan Siqi (1589- 1625) was born in Haicheng, Longhai, Zhangzhou. An excellent tailor, a pioneer of Han immigrants in opening up Taiwan Province Province, has the reputation of "King of Taiwan Province". 16 12 years (forty years of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty), Siqi was bullied by eunuchs, killed his evil servant in anger, and fled to Nagasaki, Japan to be a tailor. Soon he was engaged in maritime trade, and a few years later, his family became rich. He often got together with Yang Tiansheng, a Jinjiang native who went to Nagasaki for business, and they became close friends. He made friends with many Minnan businessmen and many patriots living in Japan through Yang, and enjoyed high prestige among overseas Chinese in Nagasaki, so the Japanese authorities named him Snail (the leader of the Han people). At that time, Japan was under the Tokugawa tokugawa era, and all the land in the country was occupied as territory by feudal lords of all sizes. The territory of the Tokugawa shogunate accounts for about a quarter of the national land. The cruel oppression of the rulers on the peasants forced the Japanese peasants to revolt. 1624 (four years of apocalypse) On July 29th, Siqi and Yang Tiansheng, Hong Sheng, Chen Xun, Zhang Hong, Chen De, Fu Lin, Li Ying, Zhuang Gui, Yang Jing, Chen Zhongji, Lin Yi, Li Junchen, Huang Bi, Zhang Hui, Wang Ping, Huang Zhao, Il-Gwan Jong (Zheng Zhilong), He Jin and Gao Guan. 47 was elected as the leader and decided to participate in the Japanese people's struggle against the Tokugawa shogunate. After the incident, Siqi and others were chased by the shogunate and had to leave Japan by boat. They drifted in the vast sea for eight days and eight nights before returning to the coast of China. They want to reach Zhoushan, but everyone has different opinions. Qi Qi ordered the ship to stay overnight at the outer island on the west coast of Jiuzhou near Zhouzaiwei, Taiwan Province Province. They discussed what to do. Chen Zhongji advocates the occupation of Taiwan Province province. So, Qi Qi led many people to Taiwan Province Province, and landed in the bay, that is, Hong Kong and Beigang, on1October 5 10 (August 23) in the same year. After arriving in Taiwan Province Province, Yan Siqi and others settled in Zhuluo Mountain, reclaimed land for logging, built houses, planted food and prepared to live forever. The local aborigines thought that the Han people occupied their territory and violated their rights and interests, so they gathered in Siqi to harass them. Later, Qiqi negotiated with them, each living in his own place, living in peace and non-aggression. Soon, Zheng Zhilong's father Shao Zu died, and his brothers Hu Zhi, Zhi Feng, Zhi Mao and other Zheng Zongren came to Taiwan Province. Siqi also sent Yang Tiansheng and others to Zhangzhou and Quanzhou in ten ships to recruit poor people to explore in Taiwan. Siqi divided these immigrants into ten villages under his jurisdiction. He selected boat people and fishermen with sailing experience, and used the original 13 big ship for maritime trade to solve the materials and funds necessary for production and life on the island. In Ye Ping, southeast of Benxi Steel, Jing Zi Street was built and divided into nine districts, with a high platform in the middle, a reading hall in the east, a Tian Fei Temple in the west, a military camp in the south and big warehouse in the north, forming the earliest Han town in Taiwan Province Province. 1625 (the fifth year of the apocalypse) In September, Siqi went hunting in Zhuluo Mountain. Unfortunately, she suffered from malignant fever due to binge drinking and died a few days later. Only 37 years old. After his death, he was buried at the top of Tian Jian, the third street shop in Zhuluo (now Chiayi County). To commemorate the pioneers in Taiwan Province Province, the people of Taiwan Province Province built "Si Qi Pavilion" and "Huaiben Building" in front of Mazu Tempel in Xingang. "Siqi Pavilion" is five stories high and is one of the tourist attractions in Xingang. According to legend, Mazu Tempel in Xingang is the oldest temple in the province; In Mazu Tempel, the blueprint of the Siqi building camp in those days is still preserved for future generations to mourn.
