Is it illegal to fly from Macao to a third country?

To go to a third country, you must hold a passport of that country. Hong Kong and Macao Pass cannot be used in other countries. To go to other countries, you must apply for a passport and get a visa. If you have a foreign passport and a visa, it is not illegal to fly to other countries in Macao.

New regulations on Macao passport clearance:

(1) If you did not enter Macao with your passport 60 days ago, you can stay in Macao for five days for the first time.

(2) If you enter Macao for the second time within 60 days, you can get a stay of 1 day.

(4) You can enjoy (1) 5+ 1 again after leaving Macao, that is, you can enjoy 5+5+ 1 after flying from Macao to a third country.

Description of Macao passport clearance violation:

(1) It is illegal to enter Macao with a passport and return to the mainland directly without flying from Macao to a third country after using up 5+ 1.

(2) Violators must wait 60 days (counting from the day after leaving Macao) and re-enter Macao with their passports.

(3) Violators are not allowed to fly to Thailand and re-enter Macao via Shenzhen and Shanghai. The Macao Immigration Bureau refused entry and immediately repatriated them to the mainland.

(4) After the violator enters Macao with a pass, he will fly from Macao to a third country together with his passport. After returning to Macao, he will only enjoy a one-day stay, and he will have to wait 60 days before he can enter Macao with his passport.

(5) Passengers travelling to Vietnam by Air Macau or Jetstar must keep all boarding passes and visas.

Macao passport clearance overdue fine:

(1) If you overstay for the first time in one year, you will be fined MOP 500 yuan per day.

(2) overstaying for the second time within one year will be regarded as illegal immigrants, and according to the overstaying situation 1 to 3 years, they are not allowed to enter Macao.

Legal basis:

Serious circumstances refer to:

1. Commit acts that harm the national interests outside China.

2. Stealing across the country (border) for more than 3 times.
