Because Shangma Village was built on the top of the Upper Maqi River and the Lower Maqi River, it was named Shangma Village, and a villagers' committee was established. The total number of households in the village is 293, with a population of 758 and cultivated land of 5,12 mu. Planting is mainly based on soybean and corn.
