Yanshan reservoir planning

The Henan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government attach great importance to the construction of Yanshan Reservoir, and have listened to reports for many times and held executive meetings and governor's office meetings to study the construction of Yanshan Reservoir. In the Outline of Water Conservancy Construction and Development in Henan Province, Yanshan Reservoir was listed as "one of the major projects with good conditions and strategic significance" and was identified as the key project in the "200 1-20 10 Water Conservancy Development Plan" of Henan Province. The main task of the project is flood control, combined with comprehensive utilization of water supply, irrigation and power generation. The reservoir controls the basin area 1 169 square kilometers, and basically controls the incoming water in Fangcheng County, Nanyang City, with a total storage capacity of 925 million cubic meters. The reservoir is located in Yang Lou Township, Fangcheng County and Baoan Town, Yexian County. The main structures of the hub project are inclined earth-rock dam, spillway, flood discharge (diversion) tunnel, water conveyance tunnel and power station. The crest elevation117.8m, the dam length is 4,070m, and the maximum dam height is 34.7m. The construction of Yanshan Reservoir requires about 20,500 people to emigrate, with 33,367 mu of flooded land and 539,859 square meters of various houses. The resettlement is based on large-scale agricultural resettlement, and adopts the resettlement mode of combining the original administrative village with the relocation in different places in the county.
